Hello friends and welcome to this bi-annual gathering of Midwest
yoga practitioners.

My name is Thomas Fortel and I warmly invite you to this
weekend of fun and reflection with our yoga community. I live in
Big Sur, California, am from St. Louis and look forward each year
to this retreat time in the heartland of our country.
As the days are quickly shortening there's a natural drawing in,
more time for reflection and contemplation, a softening with the
harvest. The practices of yoga are unfailing in their effect to quiet
and calm, to heal, to energize and to deeply restore the
practitioner. They promote a balance of mind and heart and an
integration of inner and outer, of the individual with the Supreme.

Our retreat will be at the
Oakwood Retreat Center, one hour
northeast of Indianapolis.
Open meadows, springs, woodlands, and organically farmed
fields surround the dwellings and meetings spaces with sacred
presence. Gardens invite guests to wander or rest in the midst of
the beauty of every season. Trails and roads provide access to
more than 300 acres of field and forest. Indoor spaces reflect the
outer majesty creating an atmosphere conducive to
contemplation, reflection, and discovery.

Oakwood offers a whole foods cuisine prepared with love that
includes organic vegetables and herbs in season from the
garden as well as homemade breads and desserts. Vegetarian
and vegan meals are available upon request.
